2.5k Cargo Release
The 2.5K Automatic Cargo Parachute Release is a fully automatic precision device designed to disconnect the recovery parachute from a UAV after ground impact in winds up to 25 knots.
The 2.5K Automatic Cargo Parachute Release is fully automatic, requiring no personnel intervention. The Cargo Release incorporates a hydraulic arming delay which is actuated by load tension. This delay is long enough to prevent disconnect during the opening shock yet short enough to permit low altitude delivery. After the delay period, the Cargo Release is in the extended condition, ready for disconnect when the load comes to rest on land or water.
